KENNEBUNK — Experience live readings and witness intimate connections between the tangible and ethereal realms with renowned medium Melissa Boyd, all to benefit A Place to Start nonprofit in Kennebunk.
Tickets are now on sale for the event to be held 2-4 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 8, at the Spaulding Center for Active Living.
A Place to Start is a Kennebunk-based organization that helps families navigate the diagnosis and care of those with Alzheimer’s disease. Boyd and her wife Andrea Moseley first learned about the nonprofit organization in a personal way several years ago.
“Sally (Tartre) and Diana (Dubea) held our hands through the process of my mother-in-law’s diagnosis of Alzheimer’s disease several years ago, and we’ll never forget the sense of peace they gave us along with the tremendous help through the process of it all,” said Boyd about her motivation behind this special afternoon. “This is my way of giving back and showing them the gratitude we felt.”
“What touched us most was their unwavering compassion. They understood our struggles and gave us hope when we needed it most,” she continued. “Their knowledge and empathy have made all the difference, and they’ve shown us that we don’t have to walk this difficult road alone.”
At this event with love, light and healing at the forefront, Boyd will conduct live mediumship readings for as many folks as time allows. A renowned spiritual medium and transformational business coach, Melissa Boyd connects to the spirit world and shares authentic, heart-warming, and often life-changing messages to her audience. Her work is deeply enriching and provides profound insights into real-world applications, mainstreaming the conversation on spiritual intuition in everyday decision-making and leadership.
Boyd has been connected to her spirit guides since she was 5 years old and loves helping people grow their connections to the spirit world. She began channeling at the age of 9 when she realized she “knew” things before they happened and could hear spirits giving details about family members and people who had crossed over. With years of experience working with well-known artists, recording artists and authors, Melissa has garnered a reputation for providing insightful and meaningful connections through mediumship. Testimonials from past clients and participants speak to the transformative power of the readings, with many citing a newfound sense of peace, closure and clarity.
In a practical sense, Boyd uses her intuition in the business world as well.
“Melissa helped us professionally right when we were starting out,” said A Place to Start Founder and Executive Director Sally Tarte. “We didn’t know what we were doing, we just knew that families needed help navigating the disease. Melissa held a strategic planning session with stakeholders, and she helped push us in the right direction of what we should be focusing on, and that’s consulting and helping with resources.”
When helping Boyd and her family, “they offered not just advice, but real support — a constant presence to help us understand the complexities of Alzheimer’s,” said Boyd. “ From the very first conversation with Sally and Diana, they patiently answered our questions, provided us with practical tools, and shared emotional guidance that truly helped us cope. More than just resources, they became part of our family, walking with us every step of the way.”
In a time of extreme change on the planet, the spirit world can help us all remember to return to unconditional love, grow in our hearts and know that something greater is guiding us. This event is a must-attend for anyone seeking healing, connection, or simply an unforgettable experience.
